Drives tank truck/bobtail to deliver gasoline, fuel oil, lubricating oil, or liquefied petroleum gas to customers. This role involves contacting and analyzing current and potential customers to inform them of petroleum marketing programs and promote products. The driver will load the truck safely, maintain communication with supervisors, and deliver products to customer tanks, ensuring correct products are loaded, tanks are not overfilled, and safety is observed. Responsibilities also include recording deliveries, issuing tickets, collecting payments for past due or cash-only accounts, adhering to credit policies, and turning in sales information and money. Additionally, the role includes monitoring and recording bulk plant inventory, ordering product as needed, performing routine vehicle maintenance, and other petroleum-related duties. This may involve measuring, cutting, threading, and connecting pipe, trenching lines, making repairs or installations, testing equipment, and inspecting truck equipment and supplies. A valid Class B Commercial Driver’s License with applicable endorsements, DOT physical, and commercial insurability must be maintained at all times, along with any other required industry endorsements. Other duties may be assigned by management.
