Propane Delivery Driver (CDL B) - Hiring Bonus
About The Position
Lakes Gas is a family-owned propane provider with over 60 years of experience and more than 60 locations across the Midwest. We pride ourselves on operating with a local, small-town feel while being one of the largest propane providers in the region. We are seeking a Delivery Driver to join our team. This is a local route position, meaning you'll be home every night. The primary responsibilities include delivering propane, propane tanks, and cylinders to residential and commercial sites, while also providing excellent customer service. Additional duties involve the maintenance and upkeep of company and customer equipment, as well as plant maintenance activities.
Requirements
- Minimum of a class B commercial driver’s license with tanker and hazardous endorsements (or the ability to obtain requisite endorsements)
- Must carry a DOT medical examiner’s card
- Safety conscious
- Strong mechanical aptitude
- Good driving skills
- Valid Class "A" or "B" Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with Hazmat and Tanker Endorsements (or the ability to obtain requisite endorsements) without air brake restrictions
- A clean driving record verifiable by a Federal Motor Vehicle Report
- Must be able to pass a DOT physical and maintain a Federal DOT medical card
- Must have the ability to read, write, and clearly communicate in the English Language
- Must be able to comply with federal drug and alcohol testing requirements
- Qualified candidates will be safety conscious and customer service oriented
- Ability to operate and maintain handheld tablets

Responsibilities
- Delivering propane, propane tanks and cylinders to residential and commercial sites
- Providing first in class customer service
- Maintenance and upkeep of company and customer equipment
- Plant maintenance activities
- Inspect vehicle and notify supervisor of needed equipment, supplies or routine maintenance
- DOT Hazmat Training and Maintenance every three years
- Maintains compliance with all DOT requirements
- Filling, loading, securing and delivering propane cylinders or bulk
