About The Position

The Propane Bobtail Driver is responsible for safely and promptly delivering propane to customers. The driver transfers, loads, and unloads propane and provides exceptional customer service. The role also requires maintaining high safety standards when handling and delivering propane, inspecting vehicles and equipment, and reporting mechanical or operational concerns. Overtime may be required when business needs demand it, and drivers must rotate on-call coverage during evenings and weekends as needed.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• At least 1 year of delivery driver experience.
• CDL Class A or B with Tanker and Hazmat endorsements.
• Current DOT medical certification.
• Willingness to rotate on-call status during evenings and weekends as needed.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States; employment visa sponsorship is not available now or in the future.

Responsibilities

• Transfer, collect, load, and deliver propane to and from containers, including bulk trucks, tanks, and cylinders.
• Keep the vehicle clean and organized.
• Use available technology to monitor and track propane inventory transfers, tank levels, and container sizing.
• Accurately record and print customer delivery tickets for delivered product.
• Accurately complete and submit daily driver reports where necessary.
• Maintain equipment to the highest safety standards and report mechanical issues to the Fleet Manager or Dispatcher.
• Conduct and, where applicable, document pre- and post-vehicle inspections, site inspections, and visual tank inspections.
• Coordinate frequently with the Dispatcher regarding routing and scheduling.
• Immediately notify the Dispatcher of product, customer, routing, scheduling, or safety issues and seek guidance on resolving them.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
