About The Position

Bretz RV & Marine is seeking a safety-focused Propane Attendant to join their Missoula Parts Department. This role is ideal for individuals with experience in customer service, retail, warehouse, propane, hardware, farm supply, fuel stations, or outdoor equipment who enjoy working outdoors and staying active. The Propane Attendant will be responsible for safely filling propane tanks, assisting customers with purchases, and maintaining an organized and professional parts department. This position requires dependability, a strong commitment to safety, and excellent customer service skills.

Requirements

• Valid driver's license required
• Ability to safely lift and carry at least 50 pounds
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and work outdoors for extended periods in varying weather conditions
• Comfortable working around propane and following established safety procedures
• Must be at least 18 years of age

Nice To Haves

• Previous customer service, retail, warehouse, propane, fuel station, hardware, farm supply, outdoor equipment, or parts department experience preferred
• Forklift experience is a plus but not required
• Propane handling experience is a plus but training will be provided
• High school diploma or GED preferred

Responsibilities

• Safely and efficiently fill customer propane tanks using the propane fill station
• Inspect propane cylinders to verify certification and expiration dates
• Inform customers when tanks require recertification or replacement
• Follow all propane handling procedures and company safety standards
• Maintain a clean, organized, and professional propane fill station and lot appearance
• Assist customers inside the parts store with purchases and general questions
• Support other areas of the Parts Department as business needs require
• Maintain accurate records related to propane sales and tank inspections when required
• Help unload, stock, and organize merchandise as needed
• Provide outstanding customer service while promoting a safe shopping environment
