About The Position

The Non CDL Driver is a delivery position responsible for driving a company vehicle limited to a Gross Vehicle Weight (GVW) of 25900. The position will be assigned stops to deliver foodservice products with a high level of service to customers. One year multi-stop delivery experience required or six month local delivery experience and/or foodservice industry experience. Must meet the medical requirements of the Department of Transportation (DOT). All functions must be completed in a safe and timely manner and in accordance with the Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations. Our Pronto (Non-CDL) Delivery Drivers make $24.81/ hour! Schedule is generally Monday through Friday from 6:00am until completion, subject to change based on business needs. Requirements

  • Register to the FMCSA Clearinghouse
  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • Valid U.S. driver’s license issued by the state of legal residence with proper endorsements if required.
  • No more than two convictions in the past two-year period for traffic violations, no DUI convictions in the past three years, no driver’s license suspensions in the past three years.
  • Must be able to pass DOT physical.
  • Must be able to read and communicate in the English language - able to hold a conversation, to understand highway traffic signs and signals, to respond to official inquiries, and to enter information on reports and records.
  • Must have basic math skills (add, subtract, multiply, divide).
  • Must pass pre-employment testing (including items such a Background Check)
  • Have knowledge of area and/or map reading abilities.
  • Use safe lifting and loading techniques
  • Great interpersonal/customer service skills.
  • Availability to work on weekends, Holidays and overtime in order to service customers

Nice To Haves

  • One year multi-stop delivery experience required or six month local delivery experience and/or foodservice industry experience.
  • Ability to operate manual transmission preferred; may be required in specific locations
  • Hand cart delivery experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Safely drive trucks to customers and meet scheduled customer delivery times
  • Carefully unload products from the trailer with a two-wheeler, pallet jack, or by hand and place in designated customer storage areas
  • Verify accuracy of delivery with customers and obtain proper signatures
  • Handle collections and payments from customers when applicable
  • Professionally perform customer service responsibilities to enhance our client experience
  • Perform all pre-trip and post-trip equipment inspection
