About The Position

Cumulus Media | Nashville, TN is seeking a hard-working Part-Time Promotions Coordinator. This role is ideal for individuals looking to enter the radio industry, possessing an outgoing personality and a passion for radio. The position involves community interaction to promote stations, general office duties, and receptionist tasks. The Promotions Coordinator is a key member of the Promotions Department, ensuring high-quality work for business partners. This includes developing promotional events and ideas, executing digital campaigns, organizing on-air content and contests, and overseeing station events. Office duties encompass prize fulfillment, event preparation, contest building, brainstorming, and maintaining station websites and social media under the direction of the Promotions Director. The role also involves running errands, assisting with vehicle maintenance, answering phones, and interacting with listeners claiming prizes. We are looking for charismatic applicants with positive attitudes and outgoing personalities who enjoy engaging with people and listening to great radio.

Requirements

  • 1-2 years of radio experience necessary
  • Must be 21 years of age or older
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and clean driving record
  • Reliable; have a flexible schedule and available to work at least 20 hours per week, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays
  • May require lifting or moving up to 50 pounds
  • Must be able to stand for extended periods of time
  • Outgoing, energetic, detail-oriented, and responsible
  • Proficient using computers and Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and WordPress
  • Multi-tasking abilities
  • Strong Social Media skills with sites like Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, TikTok, Twitch and LinkdIn
  • Ability to learn new platforms

Nice To Haves

  • college education preferred
  • Event experience and planning preferred
  • understanding of Microsoft 365 and vCreative is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Assist in planning, organizing & execution of promotional events and digital campaigns.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues on the fly.
  • Data Entry of Promotional events and contesting.
  • Work with promotional partners and gathering of prizes for giveaways.
  • Create e-blasts, social media posts & website posts; review promotional information and graphics.
  • Inventory and maintenance of prize closet, calendars, events for current and upcoming promotions.
  • Assisting the Promotions and Business Department with projects as needed in the office.
  • Assist with vehicle inspections, fuel and coordinating maintenance.
  • Maintain and storage of station equipment.
