About The Position

In the position of Promotional Claims Accrual Analyst, you will perform ongoing review, management, analysis, and adjustments of promotional spend accruals related to customer promotional plans for month- and quarter-end close, working cross-functionally with internal functions to ensure accuracy, timeliness of the accrual.

Requirements

  • Between 3-5 years of experience in Accounting
  • Between 1-3 years of experience in analytics
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles related to accruals
  • Problem-solving and organization skills
  • Self-motivated mindset with a proactive approach to taking the initiative.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's Degree in the field of Accounting, Mathematics, Business Administration, or other related studies
  • Intermediate to Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, SharePoint, Power BI, SAP, Salesforce, and/or VIP-PPM knowledge etc.
  • Typing and 10-key

Responsibilities

  • Regularly monitoring, updating, maintaining accruals to ensure accuracy for month-end and quarter end closing cycles related to Promotional Allowance accruals, ensuring compliance with standard operating procedures, internal controls, & GAAP rules.
  • Update and review of monthly GL details and related financial postings to identify changes requiring updates.
  • Participate in internal and external audit, as needed.
  • Identify opportunities for process enhancements/improvements.
  • Provide support to leadership by communicating insights on fluctuations within the Promotional Allowances accrual, expense, develop, deliver various analytical reports, and participate in adhoc assignments or projects, as needed.
  • Collaborate, coach, support cross-functionally by providing guidance and instruction on best practices and process requirements.
  • Review of promotional planned revisions and/or cancellation requests to ensure proper information is recorded and administered appropriately when revising or cancelling promotions.
