About The Position

The St. Clair Student Representative Council (SRC) is seeking high energy, dynamic student individuals to join our Promo Team. This role involves communicating with students about the SRC's brand, services, events, and opportunities for the 2024-2025 academic year, utilizing both in-person and social media channels. The ideal candidate is passionate about sharing student life and events at St. Clair with their peers, enjoys being informed about campus activities, and wants to meet students from various programs. Positions are available at both the South Campus and Downtown Campus, with a mix of in-person and virtual responsibilities. Applicants must be full-time St. Clair College students.

Requirements

  • Must be a full-time St. Clair College student.
  • Excellent communication skills, including strong interpersonal communication and public speaking abilities.
  • Extensive experience operating various social media platforms for promotion and engagement, with specific experience on Instagram.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize assignments to meet deadlines, especially for time-sensitive promotions.
  • Maintain a positive image and professional demeanor at all times, including on personal social media.
  • Have a public Instagram profile for the duration of the contract.

Responsibilities

  • Utilize a variety of Instagram features, including creating video content and visually appealing graphics, to increase engagement.
  • Promote, interact with, and engage students to boost visibility and attendance of SRC events.
  • Meet weekly objectives set by the Manager, Student Experience.
  • Sign a contract with SRC per academic year and submit an end-of-semester report detailing social media posts and engagement numbers.
  • Maintain a public Instagram profile for the duration of the contract.
  • Put up and take down promotional posters around campus buildings.
  • Engage in face-to-face conversations with students about upcoming events, opportunities, and services.
  • Work at SRC booths or tables to assist the SRC Board of Directors with initiatives and events.
