About The Position
Join our network of independent alteration professionals specializing in prom and special event dresses. This role involves working with a variety of formal garments, including prom dresses, homecoming dresses, pageant gowns, and quinceañera dresses. You will be responsible for tasks such as hemming, adjusting bodices and waists, altering straps, adding cups, and replacing zippers. The work requires handling structured formal dresses with multiple layers, sequins, beading, linings, and tulle. Additionally, you will conduct fittings, take precise measurements, and communicate timelines clearly to clients, while maintaining an organized workspace suitable for fittings. The company also receives requests for alterations on wedding dresses, bridesmaid dresses, evening gowns, suits, and other formalwear.
Requirements
- Experience with formalwear and/or special event dress alterations
- Strong garment construction knowledge + precision measuring
- Machine + hand sewing proficiency
- Professional communication and customer service
Responsibilities
- Alter prom dresses, homecoming dresses, pageant gowns, and quinceañera dresses (hemming, bodice/waist, straps, cups, zippers)
- Work with structured formal dresses (multiple layers, sequins, beading, linings, tulle)
