Requirements

Very strong customer service skills.
Skills in coordinating FCL, LCL, road and air freight.
Expertise in Breakbulk, RORO and chartering, including oversize, hazardous, and heavy-lift cargo.
DEC (Québec province) or similar education level.
5-7 years in the transport industry.
A minimum of one year of freight forwarding experience.
Attention to Detail.
Ability to think outside the box.
Proactive Thinking & Risk Mitigation.
Focus on security and compliance.
Ability to read, write and speak in English and French.
Leadership, integrity, good judgment, negotiation skills, team spirit, creativity, conscientiousness, organization, autonomy, and strong communication competencies.

Responsibilities

Plan and implement transport solutions for challenging shipments, such as oversized and/or overweight cargo, using a strategic approach.
Establish and maintain constructive relationships with clients.
Follow up on orders with various suppliers and communicate updates to the client.
Verify documentation to ensure compliance with requirements.
Issue necessary documentation in accordance with instructions and regulations.
Maintain internal or external reports.
Monitor shipments until they reach their destination and keep the client informed of developments.
Invoice clients according to provided rates.
Perform other tasks as defined by the immediate supervisor.
Respond to various quotation requests from clients and international collaborators.
Provide innovative solutions to clients.
Respond to requests for proposals (RFQs) and various quotation requests.
Collaborate as part of a team and support colleagues during vacations and absences.
