About The Position

The Projects Civil/Structural Superintendent will join the team in Denver, CO. This role schedules, coordinates, and supervises the activities of maintenance and construction workers, providing overall on-site administrative and technical management. The position is non-exempt and reports to the Site Manager or Project Manager. The Superintendent establishes procedures for specific goals, with results reviewed and procedures developed within policy guidelines.

Requirements

  • High school or equivalent
  • Eight (8) to ten (10) years of technical training and/or related experience
  • Thorough knowledge of all aspects of construction
  • Basic knowledge of all crafts
  • Advanced knowledge of key crafts onsite, i.e., mechanical skills, soft skills, planning and safety
  • Highly developed leadership and mentor skills

Responsibilities

  • Supervises total maintenance and/or construction effort to ensure project is constructed and/or maintained in accordance with design, budget, and schedule.
  • Plans, coordinates, and supervises on-site functions including scheduling, engineering, and material control.
  • Provides technical assistance, such as interpretation of drawings, as required.
  • Assists project management in developing and implementing project procedures and standards.
  • Ensures all on-site personnel comply with project procedures, safety program requirements, work rules, and company standards.
  • Creates new policies and procedures or updates existing policies with plant or project management approvals.
  • Documents all violations, notifies project management, and recommends/implements corrective actions as required.
  • Assumes responsibility for productivity of employees, efficient use of materials and equipment, and contractual performance of the job.
  • Interprets company policies to workers and enforces safety regulations.
  • Analyzes and resolves work-related problems.
  • Establishes and adjusts work sequences to meet construction schedule, using knowledge of equipment capacities and assigned personnel.
  • Performs additional assignments per supervisor's direction.
