About The Position
A multi-discipline consulting firm is seeking a Project Wastewater Engineer for their growing team in Parsippany, New Jersey. This role involves performing various engineering tasks related to wastewater collection, conveyance, and treatment processes, leading engineering evaluations, and preparing design documents. The position also includes construction administration, client communication, field activities, supervision of junior staff, and assisting with business development and project pursuits.
Requirements
- BS in Engineering (Civil, Environmental, Chemical or Mechanical)
- 5+ years of experience in design of wastewater treatment plants, collection and conveyance systems, and alternative onsite treatment systems
- PE License or ability to obtain in six months
- Microsoft Office Suite experience (Word, Excel, Access, Teams, Outlook)
- Knowledge of Autodesk Revit and Civil 3D software
- Authorized to work in the USA without sponsorship
Responsibilities
- Perform various engineering tasks including wastewater collection, conveyance, and treatment processes
- Lead engineering evaluations
- Prepare design calculations, reports, plans and specifications
- Perform construction administrative tasks (construction phase management activities, coordinate shop drawing reviews, RFI responses, develop construction change orders)
- Communicate directly with clients
- Confirm accuracy of plans/specifications
- Perform field activities (site investigations, witness testing and milestone construction observation)
- Supervise/manage junior staff
- Assist with business development (write technical proposals/assist with budgeting)
- Lead pursuit of small to moderate size projects
