About The Position

Pinchin is seeking a Project Technologist to join our Occupational Health and Safety team in Richmond, BC. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering expert occupational hygiene and health & safety consulting services to clients. You will help organizations protect their people and ensure compliance, while building your expertise in a dynamic, collaborative environment. Requirements

  • Certificate, Diploma, or Degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Hygiene, or related field
  • 6 months to 2 years of relevant experience
  • Working knowledge of health & safety legislation
  • Strong technical writing, verbal communication, and client service skills
  • Ability to learn quickly and work independently in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Valid driver’s license, insurance, and personal vehicle for regional travel
  • Flexibility to work outside core hours and occasional weekends

Responsibilities

  • Conduct worker exposure monitoring surveys in support of occupational hygiene assessments at a large variety of different work sites throughout the province
  • Assist with developing various types of health and safety documentation, such as exposure control plans, health and safety programs, policies and safe work/operating procedures (i.e. confined space, fall protection, respiratory protection etc.)
  • Prepare technical reports
  • Conduct construction safety inspections and audits
  • Liaise with clients to ensure needs, goals and objectives are addressed and met
  • Build and maintain positive client relationships
