About The Position

Pinchin is seeking a Project Technologist to join our Environmental Due Diligence team in Ottawa. The role reports to the Operations Manager. The Project Technologist, Environmental Due Diligence & Remediation (EDR), supports a wide range of environmental assessment and remediation projects related to property transactions, redevelopment, and regulatory compliance. This role works closely with Project Managers and senior technical staff to deliver Phase I Environmental Site Assessments, as well as provide support on Record of Site Condition (RSC) work, and remediation and monitoring programs across Ontario and Quebec.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Science or Engineering and/or Diploma in Environmental Science
  • 1 to 3 years’ related experience
  • Excellent writing, editing, technical and organizational skills along with the ability to problem solve
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for client relations
  • Ability to thrive in a team environment
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Suite including Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook
  • Valid driver’s license, insurance & personal vehicle is required (work related travel expenses will be compensated)
  • Availability to work outside of core business hours

Responsibilities

  • Conduct historical and regulatory research
  • Prepare, review, and edit technical reports
  • Complete field investigations related to the assessment of sites
  • Liaise with subcontractors
  • Support project scope development and implementation
  • Work in a both self-lead and team environments
  • Liaise with clients, financial institutions and other potentially involved stakeholders, including regulatory body representatives
  • Begin to develop and maintain positive client relationships
