About The Position

Pinchin is seeking a Project Technologist to join our Contaminated Management and Remediation (CMR) team in Mississauga. The existing role reports to the National Director of CMR. The Project Technologist supports environmental assessment and remediation projects, contributing to excess soil planning, and regulatory compliance work. Working closely with project managers and senior staff, this role combines fieldwork and technical reporting, collecting environmental samples, assisting with remediation programs, and helping deliver accurate, compliant project outcomes across a range of development and due diligence projects.

Requirements

  • A degree or diploma in a related discipline, preferably in environmental science or engineering
  • A strong working knowledge of O. Reg. 153/04 and the Phase I and II CSA Standards
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Suite including Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook
  • Excellent technical writing skills
  • Valid driver’s license, insurance & personal vehicle required (work related travel expenses will be compensated)
  • Availability to travel for work within the Greater Toronto Area. Occasional travel within other areas of Ontario may be required.
  • Availability to occasional work outside of core business hours (i.e., evenings and weekends)

Nice To Haves

  • Eng. or P.Geo. designations or working towards will be considered an asset.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in environmental consulting will be considered an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Perform Environmental Site Assessments to support both transactional due diligence (CSA) and Records of Site Condition (Ontario Regulation 153/04)
  • Assist with the implementation of remediation programs, including soil excavation, groundwater treatment, and in-situ remediation systems
  • Perform groundwater, surface water, soil, and indoor air and vapour sampling in accordance with established protocols.
  • Groundwater monitoring and sampling, determining hydraulic conductivity, surveying, and Site plan creation.
  • Prepare reports and assist with determining appropriate recommendations.
  • Liaise with Site representatives and contractors.
