About The Position

George E. Booth Co. is a family-owned and operated industrial automation sales company looking to hire their next full-time Project Technical Sales Engineer at our Indianapolis location. The George E. Booth Co. is a major distributor of process instrumentation products, controls, and related services to customers in Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Ohio, and Tennessee. The ideal candidate will have abilities to interface with customers to fully develop an understanding of customer needs and maintain open channels of communication with both internal and external partners to ensure all customer needs are met. Position is bound primarily to a standard office desk station with occasional travel to local territory during normal business hours. A clean driving record required. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in technical field (electrical, engineering, etc.) or equivalent work experience in technical field required.
  • Attention to detail, organization skills and ability to work independently or with a team are a must for success in this role.
  • Strong communication skills whether written, verbal or otherwise required especially using moderately complex terminology and concepts.
  • Must be willing to travel locally with occasional overnights.
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in technical field with customer service or similar.
  • Clean driving record required.
  • All candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

  • Assist customers with selection of products based on the scope of project needs through various applications, prepare quotations and follow-up on status.
  • Troubleshoot situations with customers to analysis and interpret any problems customers may encounter.
  • Enter orders into ERP system and Salesforce to help the Technical Sales team, as needed.
  • Document quotation and follow-up through Salesforce/ERP system.
  • Process all orders through GEBCO ERP system.
  • Responsible for day-to-day decisions related to pricing and overall customer care within the company's established parameters.
  • Coordinate and communicate regularly with outside salesperson to fully develop accounts within designated sales territory.
  • Interaction with customers on-site may be required at times.
