About The Position

PuroClean of Greater Landover is seeking a dependable, experienced, and motivated Project Team Leader / Lead Restoration Technician to join their team. This is a hands-on field leadership role requiring the ability to lead a crew, communicate professionally with customers, manage restoration projects, and perform restoration work. The team responds to property emergencies such as water damage, fire and smoke damage, mold, and biohazard situations. Requirements

  • Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record
  • Ability to reliably report to assigned jobsites throughout the service area
  • Ability to use a smartphone or tablet for job documentation
  • Ability to communicate professionally with customers and coworkers
  • Ability to lift and carry at least 50 lbs.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, climb, and perform physical restoration work for extended periods
  • Ability to work in residential and commercial environments affected by water, fire, smoke, mold, debris, and other property-loss conditions
  • Ability to properly use PPE and follow company safety procedures
  • Ability to participate in an on-call rotation, including occasional evenings, weekends, and holidays when emergency losses occur

Nice To Haves

  • 2+ years of restoration, mitigation, construction, remediation, or related field experience preferred
  • Previous experience leading technicians or crews strongly preferred
  • Experience with water mitigation and structural drying strongly preferred
  • Experience with fire/smoke, mold remediation, contents, demolition, or biohazard services is a plus
  • Familiarity with insurance restoration and proper job documentation is a plus
  • IICRC certifications are highly valued.
  • Preferred certifications include: WRT – Water Damage Restoration Technician, ASD – Applied Structural Drying, AMRT – Applied Microbial Remediation Technician
  • Additional IICRC certifications are a plus
  • Candidates without all certifications may still be considered based on restoration experience, leadership ability, and willingness to complete required training.

Responsibilities

  • Lead residential and commercial restoration projects from setup through completion.
  • Organize crews, equipment, materials, and daily jobsite activities.
  • Establish efficient job flow and clearly communicate daily objectives to technicians.
  • Perform and supervise water mitigation, structural drying, demolition, cleaning, fire and smoke restoration, mold remediation, odor control, contents handling, and related restoration services.
  • Monitor project progress and adjust equipment or work plans as conditions change.
  • Ensure work is completed according to PuroClean procedures, industry standards, project requirements, and applicable safety practices.
  • Maintain clean, organized, and professional jobsites at all times.
  • Serve as a professional on-site representative of PuroClean.
  • Explain the restoration process to customers in a clear and respectful manner.
  • Provide regular project updates and address customer concerns promptly.
  • Treat customers and their property with professionalism, empathy, and care.
  • Identify additional legitimate customer needs and communicate appropriate service recommendations.
  • Help deliver a world-class customer experience from arrival through project completion.
  • Complete job documentation accurately and on time.
  • Take and upload required photos throughout the project.
  • Record moisture readings, equipment placement, daily monitoring information, notes, customer approvals, and other required documentation.
  • Maintain accurate job files using smartphones, tablets, and company software.
  • Communicate job progress, challenges, customer concerns, and changes in scope to management.
  • Coordinate effectively with office staff, project managers, technicians, subcontractors, and other team members.
  • Lead by example on every job.
  • Train, coach, and mentor restoration technicians.
  • Assign tasks and ensure team members understand the scope of work.
  • Hold team members accountable for safety, quality, productivity, documentation, and professionalism.
  • Help develop technicians into future lead technicians and project leaders.
  • Promote a positive, respectful, and accountable team culture.
  • Properly set up, operate, monitor, clean, and maintain restoration equipment.
  • Ensure equipment is accounted for when placed and removed from jobsites.
  • Maintain clean and organized company vehicles.
  • Perform routine vehicle and equipment inspections.
  • Report damaged, missing, or malfunctioning equipment promptly.
  • Help maintain the warehouse and company facility in an organized and professional condition.
