About The Position

Project Support provides critical administrative and operational support to ensure the successful execution of commercial steel fabrication and erection projects. This role acts as a liaison between detailing, production, and project management teams, ensuring accurate document control, smooth project handoffs, and thorough recordkeeping from start to finish.

Requirements

Previous experience in steel fabrication/erection or construction industry preferred.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and fabrication documents preferred.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with fabrication management software is a plus.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

Review & process detailer .xml or similar BOM files into Tekla EPM when drawings are submitted for approval.
Create & assign sequences for BOM data in Tekla EPM.
Route assemblies in Tekla EPM per shop requirements
Generate shop drawing transmittals in Tekla EPM to the fabricating shop as assigned by shop management
Assist shops with questions regarding sequences, BOM problems, etc.
Process buyout requests provided by project management in Tekla EPM and notify Purchasing.
Process Advance Bill of Materials from detailer in Tekla EPM and email Purchasing so that materials can be purchased ahead of shop drawings being received
Process revised files delivered by detailer and coordinate with the fabricating shop
Document Control Backup.
