About The Position

This full-time, onsite Project Support Specialist position will perform a variety of visitor control and physical security functions supporting the civil service and contractor workforce and customers at the Atlantic Test Range (ATR) in Patuxent River, Maryland. The role involves greeting and checking in visitors, providing access to secure areas, maintaining clearance information, scheduling conference rooms, monitoring vehicle gate access, escorting personnel, making facility-wide announcements, and providing other administrative support. The position operates within ATR's Admin Team under the close supervision of a senior-level team lead, with work checked for quality and completeness. This job description outlines the general nature and requirements but is not exhaustive, allowing for modifications by the supervisor.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Demonstrated proficiency using office automation equipment including personal computers, optical scanners, printers, and software application programs such as MSWord, Excel, PowerPoint, electronic mail, and SharePoint applications.
  • Must be able to work overtime, evenings, and weekends as needed for flight test support
  • Must be a team player, self-starter, and demonstrate initiative to undertake activities with minimal supervision
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license
  • Will be required to successfully pass drug screening(s)
  • Currently hold or be able to obtain and maintain the proper US DoD issued security clearance, which requires US Citizenship.
  • Employment and start date is contingent upon the candidate receiving the required US DoD issued interim security clearance

Nice To Haves

  • No experience is required to qualify as a Project Support Specialist I
  • To qualify as a Project Support Specialist II, a minimum of 3 years of work experience performing the stated or similar function is required

Responsibilities

  • Control visitors by greeting and checking in all facility visitors and assisting them as necessary
  • Provide access to mission control rooms (MCRs) and secure areas
  • Maintain, verify, and update clearance information for customers
  • Schedule conference rooms
  • Monitor vehicle gate access to ATR's facility
  • Escort building service team members into ATR's secure areas
  • Provide facility-wide page announcements as necessary
  • Provide other administrative support services as necessary
