Reporting to the Project Manager, the Superintendent is expected to display a proactive resourcefulness to solving, anticipating, and preventing problems while working with a sense of urgency. They must be able to read and understand plans and specifications, and build high-quality homes through the management of trade contractors, holding them accountable to their contracts for service. The role involves motivating trade contractors and suppliers to achieve the required quality and performance standards, and demonstrating the ability to manipulate a construction schedule to effectively complete the job safely, on time, and on budget. Communication with management is key to cut building costs and resolve complications. The Superintendent must also demonstrate the ability to work with clients professionally, set proper expectations, and display an awareness of construction to ensure client confidence. Promoting and having knowledge of other Homes By Dickerson communities, initiatives, and standards, as well as attending seminars, training sessions, and company meetings on production-related subjects are also expected.
