About The Position

Arcadis is seeking a motivated Project Electrical Engineer for their Power Delivery team. This role involves direct client interaction, project management, proposal management, and business development. The engineer will ensure project execution aligns with codes, standards, and Arcadis' policies, including safety, environmental, and quality assurance. Collaboration with other Power Delivery departments like Transmission, Distribution, and Protection & Control is expected. The position focuses on substation electrical engineering, detailed design, and studies for utility and developer clients in North America, working closely with other renewable energy teams within Arcadis.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering
Minimum 7 years of relevant experience within Substation projects from 4kV up to 500kV.
Able to execute and delivery complete substation package under minimal supervision.
Experience with key considerations for substation physical layouts, section& elevations, bus configurations, cable and conduit sizing, grounding, control building, lighting & lightning, and all aspects of HV and EHV substation engineering & design and studies.
Proficient in AutoCAD and SKM/ETAP, CDEGS/WinIGS, other engineering software to complete substation design.
Design experience adhering to National Electrical Code, National Electric Safety Code, IEEE codes and standards, and county, city and state codes, ordinances and standards.

Responsibilities

Support engineering, detail design, studies and delivery of substation physical electrical projects on transmission and distribution substations at voltages from 4kV to 500kV with quality, schedule, and safe design in mind.
Project design delivery under supervision from senior engineers to perform engineering and detail design drawings, studies and analysis, prepare bidding documents and specifications, bills of materials, shop drawing review, procurement and construction documents.
Participate in the preparation of project estimates, engineering estimates and proposals, and client engagement and business development activities.
Coordinate closely with civil, structural, high-voltage P&C electrical, telecommunications, geotechnical engineers to support senior engineers to complete Issue for Construction design packages for large and medium size projects.
Provide quality assurance/quality control on the work of other electrical engineers, electrical designers, or technicians for Power Delivery projects.
Participate in meetings with clients, contractors, and vendors to support project execution.
