About The Position

APTIM's Energy Transition team is seeking a Project Specialist to serve as a customer service representative for their E-bike Rebate Programs and new e-mobility programs. This role involves providing program services, support, and analysis for incentive programs designed to increase the use of e-bikes and electric vehicles (EVs). These programs offer point-of-sale rebates to residents for e-bikes, EVs, EV chargers, battery storage, and solar. The position can be fully remote, with potential requirements for occasional meetings or office presence if near an APTIM office. A preferred location in the Pacific Time Zone is noted for serving clients in the Western U.S. APTIM's Energy Transition team is a leader in delivering innovative projects and complex client solutions in energy management, carbon management, smart energy infrastructure, DER, and carbon-free mobility. The Project Specialist will provide customer service and administrative support, ensuring data accuracy, maintaining project workflows, and facilitating communication with internal stakeholders and customers. Responsibilities include managing customer incentive reviews, processing, and coordinating project tasks. The role supports the development of energy-saving and carbon reduction programs funded by utilities or government entities, aiming to distribute program benefits equitably and reduce carbon emissions, energy bills, and economic burdens for disadvantaged populations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college or university or equivalent work experience.
  • 2-4 years’ program/project management experience related to energy program management, implementation, or administrative oversight.
  • Effective communication skills, experience with client engagement and coordination.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office, CRM systems and tracking systems.
  • Quantitative and analytic capabilities including report writing spreadsheet analysis, and identification of existing or potential problems, and recommend solutions.
  • Advanced written and oral communication skills.
  • Excellent critical thinking skills with ability to analyze situations, identify existing or potential problems and recommend solutions.
  • Self-starter with the ability to manage time and prioritize projects within established deadlines and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent time management, project management, and follow-through.
  • Commitment to fostering a collaborative work environment within the team and the broader organization.
  • Willingness to learn new technologies across multiple industries.
  • Proven experience developing and maintaining relationships with internal colleagues and external stakeholders.

Nice To Haves

  • 1+ years’ experience in the energy efficiency, EV infrastructure or electrification industries.
  • Four years of previous office experience.
  • Understanding of or interest in e-mobility including e-bikes, electric vehicles, vehicle charging, etc.
  • Fluency in Spanish, Mandarin Chinese, or Vietnamese highly preferred. Ability to speak additional languages may be advantageous.

Responsibilities

  • Work as part of the energy transition team ensuring that the administration, implementation, and verification of projects are successfully executed.
  • Act as the lead customer service representative. Develop, maintain, and engage with customers through email and in/outbound calling and updating program databases as needed.
  • Review project application forms by customers, contractors, engineers/consultants, and other program participants to ascertain compliance with program policies and procedures.
  • Maintain, update, and add entries to the system databases accurately.
  • Assist with project reporting, scheduling and other issues as needed.
  • Develop relationships with program partners to identify and address their needs from the Program to provide information to the program managers.
  • Conduct QA/QC of Program processes and protocols, offering design improvements, analysis, and recommendations.
  • Contract management; reporting and tracking program performance and metrics.
  • Directly assist in the resolution of Program operation issues.
  • All other duties as assigned.
  • Ensure compliance with all APTIM and client quality and safety policies.
