Project Specialist II

Bosch Building Technologies•Phoenix, AZ

About The Position

The Ignition Specialist leads the design, development, and commissioning of enterprise SCADA systems for mission-critical industrial and data center projects. The role centers on designing scalable, high-performance supervisory control systems and next-generation visualization and data platforms, while also supporting PLC-based automation. The specialist develops sophisticated Ignition applications, works directly with customers, and supports commissioning teams in the field. The position also designs and programs PLC control systems, integrates PLCs and industrial devices with SCADA platforms, configures industrial networks, and supports commissioning, troubleshooting, and optimization of complete automation systems. It includes mentoring junior engineers and providing technical leadership through project execution. Supervisory duties include planning, assigning, and directing work; coaching and appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints; and resolving problems. The role generally works Monday through Friday, with overtime and on-call work when necessary. Work may take place at job sites and in a typical office environment, and may involve travel to job sites, outdoor weather, construction equipment, confined spaces, and elevated work. The position requires regular physical activity, occasional lifting or moving of up to 50 pounds, and may require working at heights over six feet. Power tools are required.
