About The Position

As a Project Specialist - Hardgoods and Accessories, you support the Complex and Long lead Projects workstream by guiding products from concept, through development, to commercialization. You build and manage timelines, workback schedules, and key milestones, coordinating closely with internal teams and managing communication with external partners, creatives, and brands. You oversee multiple overlapping calendars with different scopes and deliverables, ensuring cross functional teams stay aligned. You support longer term initiatives beyond the product calendar by managing inputs, timing, outputs, communication, and overall coordination across project teams. This role is based out of our North Vancouver office and is open to hybrid work. Candidates must be eligible to work in Canada. Meet Your Future Team: The Hardgoods and Accessories Design team works together on a wide variety of product categories to support our activity collections, including packs, accessories, harnesses, and gloves. Our team works through both Inline and longer-term product lifecycles, with a variety of technical requirements and seasonal uses. Requirements

  • Some post-secondary education
  • 3+ years’ experience in a project management, technical parts development, merchandising, product development and/or event coordination role
  • Able to work with Engineers and Industrial Designers
  • Comfortable working on complex, long-term projects, in new and emerging technologies
  • Experienced working with the constraints across a variety of certification bodies (such as APAV (for harness certification))
  • Able to manage multiple timelines and communicate across a large range of people and groups to solve complex problems
  • Know how to prioritize and effectively manage multiple complex product development projects
  • Drive organizational excellence through continuous communication and proactive, solutions-based approaches
  • Thrive on building relationships and creating partnerships across the organization and community
  • Customer service-oriented approach and strong interpersonal communication skills
  • Comfortable with Microsoft Office, including Power Point and Excel
  • Proactive in identifying the root cause of issues and developing solutions

Responsibilities

  • Acting as the functional hub for each project’s multiple spokes; coordinating milestones, establishing ongoing meetings to ensure relevant parties are coordinated, aligned and accountable, and seeking out answers to questions and establishing processes that may be new for the company
  • Supporting longer‑term projects outside the product calendar by overseeing inputs, timelines, outputs, communication, and coordination across project teams
  • Collaborating with the Advanced Concepts (AC) team to align on innovation priorities and deliverables
  • Owning timeline for go/no go decisions to support Experts and Designers to make project‑specific decisions
  • Building the long‑range innovation roadmap by assessing internal resourcing needs and identifying where external support is required
  • Ongoingly evaluating existing projects to clarify commitments, guide resourcing and prioritization
  • Communicating with internal teams, external vendors and partners to ensure smooth coordination and alignment across all project details
  • Defining and determining resources required to build out new capabilities across inline and ad-hoc calendars
  • Serving as a liaison to multiple functions within the global organization, including teams across Development, Merchandising, Legal, Finance and Brand
  • Using connection, industry experience and network to act as a thought partner for the partnership and special project strategy
