Requirements

  • Knowledge of and ability to operate Microsoft Suite.
  • Associate degree in business management or related field.
  • High school diploma required.
  • Three or more years of experience in materials management or new project management involving procuring new raw materials.
  • Experience negotiating pricing, contracts or other services.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor degree beneficial

Responsibilities

  • Source materials, services for existing and new supply chain opportunities.
  • Identify multiple sources for key raw materials.
  • Working with vendors, secure samples and formal price quotes for purchasing consideration.
  • Working with Materials Director, negotiate material pricing for new and existing materials or services.
  • Working with Project Managers and Chemical Development staff, source/price new raw materials and other services needed to support new product development efforts.
  • Work with the Buyer and act as back-up for buyer in their absence.
  • Host vendor visits and meetings.
