About The Position

Amentum is hiring a Project Setup Analyst III to set up and maintain projects for new and existing contracts in the Projects Module of Deltek Costpoint. The analyst reviews submitted forms, coordinates with business partners, makes maintenance updates, and retains documentation for future reference and audit. Project maintenance includes project structure, contract modifications, billing, revenue, and project labor categories. The role ensures project records comply with published guidance, procedures, Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) controls, and company policies. This is a local remote-telework role. The selected candidate must live within a three-hour driving distance of Amentum’s Reston, Virginia, or Fort Worth, Texas office. Travel is not required. U.S. citizenship is required. Requirements

Typically, five years of Project Setup experience in Deltek Costpoint with a bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field; one year of experience may substitute for each year of college education.
U.S. citizenship is required.
Strong knowledge of Deltek Costpoint’s Projects Module, including projects, accounts, organizations, billing and revenue formulas, and project labor categories.
Ability to interact effectively at all levels of the organization.
Proficiency with Microsoft applications, particularly Excel and SharePoint.
Strong analytical and logical ability, organizational skills, documentation capabilities, and communication skills.
Ability to coordinate and prioritize multiple projects or requests simultaneously.
Practical knowledge of U.S. defense contracting regulations and rules.
Understanding of general business principles and practices, and experience working in a corporate setting.
Curiosity, adaptability, and ability to learn new technologies quickly, including using AI to automate repetitive tasks, synthesize information, improve communication, and accelerate problem solving while maintaining human judgment and accountability.
Comfort assessing AI-enabled tools and processes, identifying practical use cases, validating outputs, understanding limitations and risks, and incorporating AI responsibly into day-to-day work.
Experience using AI tools to enhance workflows, productivity, decision-making, customer experiences, business outcomes, or operational efficiency.
Must live within a three-hour driving distance of Amentum’s Reston, VA, or Fort Worth, TX office.

Responsibilities

Set up and maintain projects in the Projects Module of Deltek Costpoint in accordance with published guidance and procedures.
Coordinate with business partners to support effective project setup and clear communication.
Generate reports and perform analytical reviews in Excel.
Ensure projects are created and maintained in compliance with SOX controls, company policies, and established procedures.
Maintain organized, audit-ready records and forms in the team’s SharePoint-based document repository.
Assist with collecting and preparing documentation for audits.
Perform other duties as assigned.
