TRC is seeking a Project Scientist in South Florida. This position will be based in southern Florida (Miami-Dade, Broward, or Palm Beach Counties) but may work on various public and private projects throughout Florida and Georgia. The role involves assessment and testing for mold and water damage, large structural water losses and moisture mapping, indoor air quality, and hazardous materials surveys for asbestos-containing materials using TRC mobile solutions applications and software. Experience with industrial hygiene assessments, lead-based paints or radon is a plus. The Project Scientist will maintain a field assessment and corresponding report writing schedule, meet strict report deadlines, and produce high-quality, highly detailed digitally produced field diagrams. Responsibilities include preparation and technical review of written reports, performing project oversight and coordination with contractors, and interacting between clients and contractors. The role also involves reading project specifications and drawings, working with higher-level staff to develop technical knowledge and expand skillsets, cross-training in new service lines, and seeking relevant certifications and licenses. Maintaining regular communication with the existing client base and providing technical support to other TRC Practices are also key aspects of this position.
