About The Position

CMTS is seeking a highly motivated Project Scheduler to support Dallas Independent School District (DISD) capital improvement and renovation programs in Dallas, TX. This role is responsible for developing, maintaining, and analyzing project schedules across multiple K-12 construction projects while supporting schedule integration, delay analysis, reporting, and schedule risk mitigation activities.

Requirements

  • 5–10 years of experience in Construction Scheduling and Project Scheduling.
  • Experience in infrastructure or public-sector programs.
  • Experience supporting K-12 construction projects preferred.
  • Strong proficiency in Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project.
  • Experience reviewing and analyzing contractor schedules, baseline schedules, and schedule updates.
  • Strong understanding of construction sequencing, project phasing, and construction delivery methods.
  • Ability to perform critical path analysis and float analysis.
  • Ability to perform schedule risk identification.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and presentation abilities.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with K-12 bond programs.
  • Experience with large capital improvement programs.
  • Familiarity with e-Builder, Procore, or PMWeb.
  • Experience with multi-project schedule integration and program-level scheduling.
  • Knowledge of claims analysis and delay impact methodologies.
  • Possession of or progress toward PMI-SP or PSP certification.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain, and update detailed project schedules, baseline schedules, and recovery schedules.
  • Utilize Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project.
  • Review contractor schedules for completeness, logic, durations, and contract compliance.
  • Perform critical path analysis, float analysis, logic validation, and schedule quality checks.
  • Identify schedule risks, delays, and potential impacts, and provide mitigation recommendations and schedule recovery strategies.
  • Monitor project progress against baseline schedules and update schedules regularly.
  • Coordinate with Project Managers, Assistant Project Managers, and Contractors.
  • Validate schedule updates, progress data, and milestone tracking.
  • Analyze schedule changes, delay impacts, and time extension requests.
  • Support claims analysis and delay evaluations.
  • Integrate schedules across multiple campuses and projects.
  • Prepare schedule reports, narratives, dashboards, and leadership presentations.
  • Participate in project meetings to present schedule updates and resolve schedule-related issues.
  • Ensure alignment between procurement activities, design deliverables, and construction milestones.
  • Support the development of master program schedules and program milestone tracking systems.
  • Coordinate with project controls teams to align cost data, performance reporting, and schedule reporting.
  • Assist with establishing scheduling standards, templates, and best practices.
