About The Position

Primoris T&D provides construction, maintenance, and engineering of electric Transmission, Distribution, and Substation infrastructure. Ancillary services include wireless telecommunication installation, environmental cleanup, project management, and storm restoration services. Primoris T&D is seeking a Scheduler to support of Transmission and Substation Project Management Team in Denton, Texas. We're looking for a detailed, self-driven person that excels at handling multiple mid-to-large scale projects, crafting and maintaining schedules in Primavera P6, Microsoft Projects, Smartsheet, and collaborating with project and operations teams. If you have 3+ years of scheduling experience within an industrial environment, advanced excel skills, and a passion for managing multiple projects, this might be a great fit for you!

Requirements

  • Associate’s degree in Project Management, Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, Physical Sciences, or related field.
  • 3 to 5 years of project scheduling experience
  • Proficiency in Primavera P6, Microsoft Projects, and Smartsheet scheduling
  • Resource loading
  • Construction experience (Heavy Civil, Energy, or Utilities Preferred)
  • Strong MS Excel skills, including working with charts, histograms, graphs, etc.
  • Must be detail-oriented and have the ability to work well within a deadline driven environment
  • Professional attitude and always maintaining positive conduct
  • Must respect and maintain confidentiality of sensitive information
  • Must be able to perform in a fast paced, changing environment

Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain, and update integrated project schedules using Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, and Smartsheet.
  • Create baseline schedules and provide accurate schedule updates throughout projects lifecycle.
  • Coordinate with project managers, superintendents, field teams, and customers to gather progress and scheduling information.
  • Develop and maintain Critical Path Method (CPM) schedules for transmission and substation projects.
  • Integrate subcontractor schedules into the master project schedule and ensure overall schedule alignment.
  • Perform resource loading, workforce planning, and schedule analysis to support project execution.
  • Monitor project progress and identify impacts to critical path and near-critical path activities.
  • Generate weekly and monthly schedule updates, progress reports, and schedule performance metrics.
  • Support short-term and look-ahead planning to optimize field execution and workflow sequencing.
  • Analyze schedule variances, delays, and risks, and recommend mitigation or recovery strategies.
  • Assist project teams with schedule fragmentation, delay claim analysis, and recovery schedule development.
  • Maintain schedule quality, data integrity, and professional collaboration with project stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery.
