About The Position

PMA Consultants is seeking multiple Project Schedulers for a full onsite role in downtown New York City, supporting a transportation client. The successful candidates will be responsible for creating and maintaining project and program schedules across all phases, including design, construction, and design-build projects. This role involves periodic field visits to assigned construction projects and requires strong analytical and communication skills.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, architecture, transportation, construction, or project management.
  • Minimum 7 years of related experience in a large, multi-faceted organization.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in design and construction.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in project scheduling and CPM techniques.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in construction methods and standards.
  • Knowledge of basic civil, structural, mechanical, and electrical engineering principles.
  • Proficiency with Oracle Primavera P6.
  • Strong project management and coordination skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Access, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge and familiarity with Cloud and/or EPPM version of Oracle Primavera P6.
  • Railroad experience.
  • Power BI.
  • PMI-SP certification.
  • PMP certification.
  • Field experience.
  • Onsite construction experience.

Responsibilities

  • Critical Path Method (CPM) schedule management for design, construction, and design-build projects.
  • Attending kickoff, design, construction, and project progress meetings.
  • Creating and maintaining project and program schedules through all phases.
  • Reviewing baseline schedules and monthly CPM updates.
  • Preparing Primavera schedule comparison reports, critical path/float path analysis, earned value reports, monthly delay reports, and schedule risk/mitigation analyses.
  • Reviewing logic ties, activity timelines, calendars, phasing, resources, histograms, costs, and deviations from baseline.
  • Conducting field visits for active construction projects.
  • Developing recovery/mitigation and hypothetical scenario schedules.
  • Developing scheduler/project controls training materials.
  • Producing work samples when requested.
