Position Overview: Project Scheduler – Enrichment Operations As the Project Scheduler for BWXT Enrichment Operations, you will serve as the authoritative lead for schedule development, critical‑path analysis, baseline management, and performance forecasting across high‑value enrichment programs. You will independently establish, maintain, and integrate complex resource‑loaded schedules that support multi‑million‑ to multi‑billion‑dollar initiatives spanning design, experimental testing, construction, manufacturing readiness, and operational deployment. This position requires mastery of Primavera P6, expertise in DOE nuclear‑capital scheduling standards, and the ability to influence program strategy through precise, data‑driven visibility into schedule risks, constraints, and performance trends. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in project management, business, engineering, construction management, or a related discipline (equivalent experience may be considered).
  • Seven (7+) years—preferably ten (10+) years—of progressive experience in project scheduling, project controls, earned‑value management, or cost‑schedule integration within DOE, nuclear, industrial, or other highly technical environments.
  • Mastery of Primavera P6, critical‑path methodology, resource loading, and development of Level 1–5 schedules.
  • Demonstrated ability to independently manage integrated cost/schedule baselines for large, complex programs in the multi‑hundred‑million‑ to multi‑billion‑dollar range.
  • Strong ability to interpret technical engineering inputs, coordinate multi‑discipline logic, and support field‑level construction or execution schedules.
  • Proven analytical skills with a track record of identifying risks early, diagnosing trends, and providing corrective or preventive recommendations.
  • Exceptional communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders across engineering, operations, regulatory, and program leadership.
  • Experience implementing automation tools, utilities, or AI‑assisted workflow enhancements for scheduling or reporting.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen capable of obtaining and maintaining a DOE Q clearance.
  • PMP certification or equivalent professional credential preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, update, and manage highly detailed, resource‑loaded schedules covering development, experimental, construction, and operational phases for all Enrichment Operations projects.
  • Build and maintain integrated master schedules using Primavera P6, applying DOE, EVMS, and capital‑program scheduling requirements.
  • Serve as the scheduling subject‑matter authority, independently owning schedule baseline creation, integration, and maintenance for complex technical programs.
  • Collaborate directly with project managers, engineering, operations, maintenance, supply chain, safety, environmental, and security teams to collect schedule inputs, validate logic, and resolve constraint conflicts.
  • Perform critical‑path analysis, identify trends, forecast performance, and recommend schedule or execution‑strategy adjustments to prevent variance growth.
  • Create routine and ad hoc schedule reports, including dashboards, SPI/CPI metrics, schedule forecasts, and at‑completion projections for leadership.
  • Conduct schedule‑impact assessments, scenario modeling, procurement alignment reviews, and execution‑sequencing analyses to support risk management.
  • Ensure strict compliance with DOE scheduling requirements, internal BWXT controls, change‑management processes, and configuration‑control practices.
  • Implement automation, data‑pipeline improvements, and digital workflow enhancements to increase schedule integrity and reduce reporting cycle time.
  • Participate in project reviews, design coordination sessions, constructability assessments, and implementation planning meetings as the scheduling authority.
  • Champion continuous improvement across scheduling processes, tools, standards, automation, and digital capabilities for Enrichment Operations.
