About The Position

MGC Contractors, Inc. is a 100% Employee Owned Corporation specializing in water and wastewater general contracting. We are seeking an experienced Project Scheduler to join our Texas Division in the San Antonio/New Braunfels area. This role involves creating and maintaining project schedules, coordinating updates, analyzing progress, performing risk management, and supporting claims as needed.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Three (3) to five (5) years of construction scheduling experience using Oracle Primavera P6 scheduling software preferred.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel; understanding of Work Breakdown Structures (WBS) and Critical Path Method (CPM).
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) required.
  • Strong computer and communication skills required.
  • Ability to build and maintain effective interpersonal relationships.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Must be fluent in English, i.e., must be able to speak, read and write English.
  • Passing a pre-employment background check and drug screen is required.

Nice To Haves

  • Three (3) to five (5) years of construction scheduling experience using Oracle Primavera P6 scheduling software.

Responsibilities

  • Work independently and with estimators, project managers, superintendents and other team members to create and maintain project schedules, breaking down project scope by developing tasks, milestones, and dependencies using Oracle Primavera project scheduling software.
  • Coordinate with project managers, superintendents and other team members to gather schedule update information, track progress, produce informative reports and adjust schedules as needed.
  • Analyze progress and provide regular updates to stakeholders, including critical path analysis, identifying trends and other performance measurement information.
  • Perform risk management by identifying potential disruptions to schedules and supporting development and implementation of mitigation plans.
  • Performance of time impact analyses and claims support as required.
  • Communicate and facilitate, ensuring stakeholders understand timelines and deadlines.
  • Ability to review and understand design documents.
  • Ability to develop resource and cost-loaded schedules.
  • Any and all other duties assigned.
