The purpose of this position is to perform project controls administration including, but not limited to, material expediting, quantity tracking, cost control, scheduling, document control, basic job cost management, subcontract management, and procurement. The role involves developing, updating, and maintaining project schedules, supporting schedule update meetings, and performing schedule analysis. The Project Scheduler will also assess the impact of changes, assist in developing mitigation strategies, and review work hour forecasts. A key responsibility is to develop the baseline construction schedule, ensuring it is updated based on various factors like change orders, field performance, and material availability. The role requires submitting schedule updates to the customer as per contract documents and issuing weekly reports on progress, manpower, and schedule analysis. The ability to interface with the project team to gather information and maintain effective working relationships with the customer, subcontractors, and suppliers is essential.
