About The Position

A Project Scheduler builds project timelines; tracks progress and manages resources. Key duties include developing baseline schedules, performing critical path analysis, and using Microsoft Project. This role involves creating and maintaining detailed project master schedules, milestones, and task dependencies, monitoring ongoing project activities, gathering progress updates, and updating baseline timelines. The scheduler will perform critical path analysis, identify potential scheduling risks or delays, and present clear status reports to management. Additionally, they will coordinate resource allocation and workload distributions to prevent team burnout and project bottlenecks, and collaborate with project managers, stakeholders, and external vendors to align on timeline expectations and modifications.

Requirements

  • Active Microsoft Project Management certification is a MUST.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Project and Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel for data analysis).
  • 2 to 5 years of hands-on experience in project planning, scheduling, or project controls within a related industry (e.g., construction, IT, engineering). Helicopter MRO experience is a big plus.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Sharp attention to detail.
  • Proven problem-solving abilities under tight deadlines.
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent (GED), with additional specialized training or college course work and at least six (6) years of experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job.
  • Advanced MS Excel training and knowledge.
  • Extensive knowledge with scheduling software (Primavera, MS Project, etc.).
  • Extensive knowledge of field construction and plant maintenance activities.
  • Understanding of schedule controls methodology.
  • Extensive knowledge of resource monitoring techniques such as CPM networks, plus understanding of construction technology, process systems and structures.
  • Able to develop schedule from documentation.
  • Strong written, verbal and listening communication skills.
  • Problem recognition and problem resolution skills.
  • Ability to operate a motor vehicle and have a valid driver’s license.

Nice To Haves

  • Helicopter MRO experience is a big plus.

Responsibilities

  • Meet regularly with project managers, stakeholders, and external vendors to align on timeline expectations and modifications.
  • Gather and input data into scheduling software programs.
  • Maintain schedule and update, as needed.
  • Gather and analyze information to prepare reports.
  • Evaluate critical path, manpower, resources, and equipment.
  • Report to a Manager.
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
