The Project Planner is responsible for the functions of project scheduling and controlling. He/She is a key member of the project team and supports the Project Manager with all scheduling and financial aspects of the project including cost control, baselining and updating of a schedule, variance analysis, recovery plans, earned value analysis, Monte Carlo risk analysis, and cash flow. The incumbent in this position will have significant interface with the Project Management organization in addition to the functional areas of Engineering, Sourcing, Manufacturing, and Field Service. He/She will interface when needed directly with external partners and customers. The Project Planner can overview the project execution from both high level and detailed perspectives. He/she should have a good understanding of hydro power plants and be able to understand the sequence of parts in engineering, manufacturing, supply chain and erection. He/She will ensure tools and processes are followed and will define counter measures to ensure quality of data. He/She will monitor key performance indicators and take the necessary actions to ensure excellent execution of projects.
