About The Position

The Project Scheduler will develop, maintain, and update schedules across multiple commercial construction projects, ensuring project timelines are realistic, coordinated, and aligned with project scope, resources, and requirements. This is a hybrid position requiring a minimum of 50% on-site presence in Rochester, MN each month from 2027 through 2030. On-site requirements may increase or decrease throughout the project lifecycle based on project demands. The Project Scheduler will work closely with Project Managers, Superintendents, subcontractors, suppliers, field teams, and leadership to track progress, identify schedule risks, analyze impacts, and implement corrective actions to support on-time project delivery.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated experience in construction project scheduling, preferably managing multiple concurrent projects.
  • Strong knowledge of commercial construction processes, sequencing, dependencies, and trade coordination.
  • Proficiency with scheduling software such as Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, or equivalent.
  • Strong Excel and data analysis skills.
  • Ability to translate construction plans, specifications, and project requirements into detailed schedules.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify schedule risks and evaluate project impacts.
  • Excellent organizational, time management, and prioritization skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with project teams, field personnel, subcontractors, suppliers, and leadership.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate project documentation.
  • Ability to work on-site in Rochester, MN as required and regularly interact with field operations.
  • Commitment to safety, quality, continuous improvement, and effective project controls.

Nice To Haves

  • Degree or coursework in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, or a related field preferred; equivalent practical experience will be considered.
  • Familiarity with union construction environments and regional construction practices is beneficial.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain, and update detailed schedules for multiple concurrent commercial construction projects.
  • Coordinate with Project Managers, Superintendents, subcontractors, suppliers, and field teams to collect schedule updates and progress information.
  • Track actual progress against baseline schedules and identify delays, variances, and potential risks.
  • Analyze schedule impacts and develop practical recovery and corrective action plans.
  • Prepare schedule reports, forecasts, dashboards, and progress updates for project stakeholders.
  • Monitor critical paths, milestones, dependencies, and key project activities.
  • Incorporate approved change orders, scope changes, and project updates into project schedules.
  • Support resource allocation and manpower planning.
  • Coordinate sequencing and scheduling across multiple trades and project activities.
  • Communicate schedule status, risks, constraints, and potential impacts to project leadership.
  • Participate in project coordination meetings and provide scheduling expertise.
  • Maintain accurate scheduling documentation and project records.
  • Identify opportunities to improve scheduling processes, tools, reporting, and project controls.
  • Support project teams in achieving schedule, quality, and safety objectives.
