About The Position

The Project Quality Engineer will be responsible for executing project quality activities for GEH Advanced Nuclear projects. This role involves ensuring compliance with regulatory, customer, and GEH requirements, supporting project execution for procured products, and working with suppliers to define quality requirements, inspection and verification processes, qualification activities, and test controls. The engineer will provide technical guidance to suppliers, resolve quality issues, disposition nonconforming product, and execute supplier quality surveillance activities for New Reactor programs. Additionally, the role includes writing and reviewing quality documents, plans, and procedures, and supporting corrective action and error prevention efforts.

Requirements

  • Associate’s degree from an accredited college/university, or High School Diploma/GED with 8+ years of nuclear industry experience
  • 4+ years of experience in engineering, manufacturing, manufacturing engineering support, or nuclear quality assurance
  • 2+ years of experience in a nuclear quality role
  • Strong understanding of nuclear safety culture
  • Experience with NDE processes, ASME Code requirements, welding issues, and quality inspections
  • Familiarity with electrical/electronic standards, control systems, software-based protection systems, PLC/SCADA, and related testing methods
  • Knowledge of ASME NQA-1, CSA N299, CSA N285, and ISO 9001
  • Must be willing to travel to supplier and customer sites as required, up to 40%

Responsibilities

  • Perform quality activities for Advanced Nuclear projects to ensure compliance with regulatory, customer, and GEH requirements
  • Support project execution for procured products
  • Work with suppliers to define quality requirements, inspection and verification processes, qualification activities, and test controls
  • Provide technical guidance to suppliers to ensure compliance with drawings and specifications
  • Resolve supplier quality issues and disposition nonconforming product
  • Execute supplier quality surveillance activities for New Reactor programs
  • Write and review quality documents, plans, and procedures
  • Support corrective action and error prevention efforts
