The Project Quality Engineer will lead quality assurance efforts within customer development projects, ensuring compliance with both customer-specific and internal quality requirements from project initiation to closure. This role involves developing and implementing robust control plans, providing transparency on project quality status, and initiating escalation processes when quality targets are not met. The engineer will serve as the Quality representative in customer development projects, leading interactions with the customer’s quality representative throughout the APQP process and acting as an expert on APQP tools. Responsibilities include supporting the development of FMEAs, aligning drawings with engineering and metrology, establishing validation plans, executing validation tests, and defining/implementing gauges and measurement fixtures. The role also entails ensuring correct execution and documentation of dimensional measurements, supporting R&D, coordinating customer product and process releases, leading problem-solving for customer claims, overseeing the handover to plant CQE, and managing PQE tasks for global projects. Additionally, the engineer will assist with creating global FMEAs and master P-FMEAs, develop and supervise the implementation of a global Control Plan Concept, coordinate input from local PQEs, act as the customer contact for global quality, provide input on APQP/PPAP for Tier 2 parts, support project milestones, and coordinate the implementation of quality-related lessons learned.
