About The Position

The Projects Quality Engineer provides end-to-end quality assurance and oversight across engineering, procurement, supplier manufacturing, construction, commissioning, and project turnover activities supporting Whiting Refinery projects. The role is responsible for proactive, risk-based quality planning, supplier quality execution, engineering contractor oversight, and ensuring project requirements are translated into supplier deliverables and field execution. It serves as a quality interface among Engineering, Procurement, Suppliers, Inspection Service Providers, Construction, and Commissioning teams to help ensure equipment, materials, and installed work meet project requirements, applicable codes and standards, and contractual obligations. The successful candidate will have refinery or heavy industrial project quality experience across mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, controls, structural, and civil scopes, and may provide construction-site and turnaround quality support based on project phase and risk. The position is associated with a pending contract award. Employment and the anticipated start date depend on a successful award, client approval, project requirements, and applicable onboarding or site-access requirements. The work environment includes a refinery and field-based settings, including supplier facilities and active construction sites. Day or night shifts may be required based on project and turnaround needs, and domestic and international travel may be required. A TWIC card is required for site access.
