As the Project Procurement Manager 1, you will have the opportunity to perform assigned procurement activities for a proposal(s) or project(s). You will lead others with procurement responsibilities while requiring minimal supervision. This role involves purchasing assigned equipment, construction, and service contracts for projects following established policies and procedures. You will assist in project setup of procurement-related activities and execute and manage the procurement process on assigned contracts, including bid list preparation, solicitation of quotes, and evaluating, negotiating, and awarding of contracts. You will lead negotiations for assigned procurements and/or construction contracts, collaborate to resolve complex claims or other contract issues, and ensure contract documents are issued correctly and on schedule. Additionally, you will assist with the development and monitoring of project budgets and schedules (man-hours, cost, procurement milestone durations), assist with the establishment and/or monitoring of procurement goals, and monitor project procurement activities and report status. This role may involve developing, creating, and leading presentations to internal and external clients and joint venture partners. You may also be responsible for soliciting budgetary pricing for equipment, material, or labor to support estimating/proposal efforts and may lead and coordinate the entire budgetary pricing effort on a project or projects. You will file appropriate documents and follow filing rules, acting in the capacity of a "lead person" without direct management responsibility for the professionals to whom you provide work direction (e.g., Procurement Representative, Procurement Administrator, Expediter).
