This role involves conducting analytical studies on a variety of policies, projects, programs, and issues to support a function, research initiative, program, and/or organizational unit. The position will also research new or changing systems and programs, assist in policy and program planning, development, administration, management, and implementation. The Project Policy Manager will interpret, monitor, and analyze information regarding policies and procedures, and provide consultative services to department administrators and other stakeholders. This position is within the Department of Medicine (DOM) at UCSF, the largest department in the School of Medicine (SOM). The DOM's mission includes research, teaching, patient care, and public service, with a decentralized structure across four sites and approximately 38 divisions. The UCSF Division of Hospital Medicine at Parnassus, founded in 1996, is a leading academic hospital medicine group with over 190 faculty and 30 staff members.
