We are seeking a part time Project Policy Analyst to work closely with the Principal Investigator (PI) on research related to health and incarceration. Specifically, this work will support a new National Institute of Nursing Research R01, the CARE study, focused on understanding care and decision making for hospitalized incarcerated patients. Reporting to the Principal Investigator, the candidate will work with the team to engage in all stages of the research process to generate evidence that will inform policy recommendations. Activities will include overseeing the operations for qualitative and quantitative data collection and analysis, as well as coordination across multiple institutions and organizations. The candidate will maintain study databases, assess for quality control and data cleaning, participate in data analysis and engage in select aspects of data collection in order to develop content expertise. The candidate will help to support community researchers and will coordinate data collection among the multiple members of the research team. They will assist with organizing and running team meetings for concurrent analysis and will assist with manuscript preparation and dissemination of findings, including creating and updating newsletters and websites for external audiences. They will also support the development of grant applications and performing other study-related operational/administrative tasks to ensure study and team success.
