About The Position

1406 Consulting is seeking a Project Operations Manager (Client Delivery) to oversee the structure, tracking, and operational accountability of their client delivery function. This role is crucial for ensuring project accuracy, time tracking, and resource planning are up-to-date and aligned across the business. The Project Operations Manager will collaborate with Client Success Managers, Implementation Specialists, and Leadership to enhance visibility, enforce processes, and proactively identify risks. This position does not involve direct client relationship management but focuses on the systems and workflows that ensure effective and consistent project execution.

Requirements

  • 3–6+ years of experience in project operations, project coordination, or PMO roles (agency or SaaS preferred)
  • Strong experience managing resource planning, utilization tracking, and reporting
  • Advanced proficiency in project management tools (Teamwork, Asana, ClickUp, or similar)
  • Strong skills in Google Sheets or Excel (formulas, reporting, dashboards)
  • Highly detail-oriented — you catch gaps others miss
  • Comfortable holding teams accountable and following up persistently
  • Self-motivated and able to operate independently in a fast-paced, remote environment
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working in a HubSpot partner agency or similar professional services environment
  • Familiarity with billable utilization models
  • Experience improving or implementing operational processes at scale

Responsibilities

  • Own and maintain project tracking accuracy across all active client engagements (tasks, timelines, statuses)
  • Manage and monitor team capacity, utilization, and resource allocation
  • Ensure time tracking is completed accurately and consistently across the team; proactively follow up on gaps
  • Build and maintain reporting dashboards for leadership (utilization, billable vs. non-billable, project health)
  • Identify and escalate capacity risks, timeline risks, and scope misalignment
  • Maintain clean, standardized project plans across all accounts to ensure consistency
  • Act as the operational bridge between Client Success and Implementation teams
  • Enforce adherence to internal processes and drive accountability across delivery teams
  • Continuously improve workflows, templates, and systems to increase efficiency and clarity
