Under the general direction of the Manager of Beneficial Electrification, the Project Manager - Electrification and Energy Innovation Programs will lead the development and implementation of innovative programs and projects that can transform the future of energy in our community. This position is ideal for a highly motivated professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys solving complex challenges, and is energized by bringing innovative customer-oriented solutions from concept to successful implementation. In this role, you will identify emerging technologies, evaluate market opportunities, develop strategic partnerships, and launch programs that expand transportation electrification, residential and commercial energy storage, Virtual Power Plants (VPPs), and other energy transformation technologies. Many of these projects will have no established roadmap, requiring creativity, strategic thinking, and the ability to navigate ambiguity while driving measurable results. Success in this role requires strong collaboration across internal departments, customers, technology providers, utilities, government agencies, and regulators. You will help inform strategic decision-making, lead cross-functional teams, manage multiple high-impact projects, and help shape programs that improve customer experience while supporting a more resilient and sustainable electric grid. Responsibilities may include researching emerging technologies, evaluating business cases, developing Requests for Proposals (RFPs), negotiating contracts, preparing regulatory filings, overseeing pilot projects, and leading full-scale project implementations. If you enjoy turning innovative ideas into successful programs, collaborating across diverse teams, and driving meaningful change, this role offers the opportunity to help shape the future of energy in our community.
