About The Position

The Project Manager III position works under minimum supervision of either the Senior Project Manager or Construction Division Manager. This opportunity is at Moron Airbase in Spain. Onsite presence is required. This is a senior level project manager position responsible for managing other lower-level Project Manager positions and site employees. This position is typically assigned projects of diverse scope and performs a variety of complex level construction project management functions on all activities associated with assigned construction projects.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in construction management, Business Administration, Accounting, Engineering, or a related field, with eight years of relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the role.
  • Experience in government contracting, general construction and financial administration.
  • Knowledge of U.S Government procurement Regulations and labor laws.
  • All formal and informal meetings shall be conducted in English. Additionally, the contractor will have the ability to communicate in English at the construction site and through writing correspondence.
  • Ability to speak and write fluently in Spanish
  • Six years supervisory experience
  • Must pass OSHA 30-hour safety course.
  • Must pass Corps of Engineers CQM class for contractors.
  • Excellent management and employee relations skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills English and Spanish.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential matters.
  • Ability to work independently and recommend solutions to problems.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, Powerpoint and Projects.
  • Superior attention to detail.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while attending to multiple tasks and demands.

  • Experience with RMS 3.0
  • PMP Certifications
  • Previous RMS experience preferred.
  • Experience working in Joint Venture arrangements is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Perform complex construction and project management for all assigned projects.
  • Perform construction and project management administration functions, handling a variety of actions and problems relating to assigned projects. Prepares and analyzes project fund status reports, reviews billing procedures and contractual requirement submittals
  • Manages project work plans designed to accomplish contractual objectives and provides direction and support to subcontractors, support staff, trades and crafts.
  • Prepares analysis of new projects for consistency with proposals and negotiations. Reconciles inconsistencies between proposals and new projects and analyzes the effects of proposed project changes. Provides management assistance with the coordination and negotiation of project changes.
  • Participates in strategic planning meetings on assigned projects
  • Provides direction on staffing related issues; approves all staffing requests, has approval of new hires for assigned projects. Works directly with the Director and Corporate Human Resources regarding employee complaints, performance issues, salary increases, and employee terminations.
  • Responsible for safety of all personnel on job, including sub personnel, compliance with environment standards and quality of work performed.
  • Responsible for scheduling of work to be performed and overall project completion time based on IAW project plan. Communicate with customers regarding any deviations from the schedule.
  • Maybe responsible for assisting in the development of agendas for both pre- and post-job conferences.
  • May share responsibility on negotiations of key agreements on all assigned projects.
  • Responsible for keeping current government regulations and commercial trends. Monitors project compliance requirements to ensure compliance with Service Contract Act as necessary and other Federal regulations as required.
