About The Position

Air and Space Force Solutions, a business unit within BAE Systems, has an opening at our Hill Air Force Base, Utah location for a Project Manager. In this role you will join our Information Services team and have an important role in supporting our mission of strategic deterrence through continual improvement and innovation. This is a customer-facing role with strong relationship building responsibilities with the government customer as well as with equipment/software vendors and associated contractors. The selected applicant may frequently be working in a technical project manager capacity, working directly with technical personnel and, on occasion, with senior leadership to provide status updates. Additionally, the selected applicant will provide leadership for those involved in the development, design and optimization of one or more information technology systems. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, analysis, selection and modification of enterprise systems, application software, installation of network hardware/software and database management. Additional duties include providing technical expertise to the government customer in developing and maintaining robust program operational tools and processes.

Requirements

• High School diploma with 10+ years of relevant work experience, or Bachelor's Degree (typically in computer science, information technologies, etc.) and 7+ years of progressive technical experience, or MS Degree and 5+ years of relevant experience
• Technical knowledge of systems, networks, and application security, as well as a solid understanding of enterprise-level security frameworks, policies, processes, and standards
• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to learn quickly and multi-task in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to work across teams and in a cross-functional environment to accomplish schedule-driven priorities on time
• Experience interfacing and briefing customers and upper management
• Experience or knowledge of cybersecurity, networks, system components, system protocols, COTS technology, and software development
• Effective organizational, time management, and communications skills (written and verbal)
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Fast learner with ability to quickly comprehend technology and understand unique system requirements

Nice To Haves

• Strong grasp of public/private/hybrid cloud architectures (AWS GovCloud), Microsoft Azure Government, or Google Cloud Public Sector) and cloud adoption frameworks.
• Familiarity with NIST guidelines, federal cybersecurity guidelines for cloud-based networks, and experience maintaining Authority to Operate for cloud-based or hybrid networks
• Experience with Confluence, Jira, and MS Teams tools
• PMP Certification

Responsibilities

• Coordinate end-to-end migration of legacy on-premises workloads to cloud-based networks, establishing data transfer plans, minimizing system downtime, and achieving a 100% on-schedule cutover
• Coordinate with DevSecOps and compliance teams to ensure cloud architecture meets strict regulatory standards and is able to secure Authority to Operate
• Manage the migration and deployment of services to cloud-based network environments
• Coordinate cloud governance, including scalability planning, cost optimization, and security configuration
• Oversee the integration of hybrid-cloud architectures to ensure seamless connectivity between on-prem and cloud networks.
• Manage cloud resource provisioning and capacity planning to ensure optimal system performance
• Coordinate with security teams to implement cloud-native security controls and identity management
