About The Position
Intertek (BML) is a global leader in metallurgical testing, process flowsheet development, and mineralogical analysis interpretation. We are seeking a Project Metallurgist for our Kamloops location to work on Mineral Processing projects. The role requires experience with comminution, flotation, leaching, and pressure oxidation, as well as experience in operations and metallurgical testing.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mineral Processing, Extractive Metallurgy or Chemical Engineering
- PEng registration preferred
- A minimum of 3 years’ experience in mineral processing; gold or base metals processing preferred
- Metallurgical testing in a laboratory setting is required
- Demonstrated leadership skills
- Good communication skills with well-developed written and oral skills

Responsibilities
- Manage projects, including bid preparation, client interaction, completing metallurgical balances, analyzing data to determine testing program direction, analyzing and presenting data for final reports, and writing final technical reports.
- Conducting, supervising, and reporting on bench scale and pilot plant test work.
- Direct, supervise, and conduct test work in the laboratory.
- Liaise with a Technical Services Manager regarding ongoing test programs.
- Provide a mentoring role for other technical staff.
- Observe established safety regulations and comply with all health and safety policies.
- Other duties as assigned by the manager.
