NV5 has several opportunities for Senior Highway Engineers/Project Managers to join our Civil Transportation/Roadway Department in our Morristown, NJ office. These positions include Project Managers and Deputy Project Managers. We seek motivated candidates with 15+ years of engineering/project management experience, who have a willingness and desire to work in a team environment, and supervise project design teams. Our multi-discipline design team approach will provide the successful candidate the opportunity to pursue a path, focused on technical management and/or project management, which aligns with their strengths and interest. We currently have a wealth of interesting projects, and these positions provide excellent opportunities for fast-track career growth. Our office has excellent opportunities to provide leadership and management on these assignments.

Requirements

  • 15+ years of engineering/project management experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering (BSCE)
  • NJ PE License

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with TAP and SRTS projects through NJDOT Local Aid

Responsibilities

  • Supervise/Manage transportation and civil related projects, including providing technical oversight to engineering staff.
  • Understanding of tasks required in the preparation of roadway/highway designs and plan development from conceptual design thru final contract documents.
  • Client interaction and Community Involvement.
  • Collaborate with multidiscipline design engineers and technicians.
  • Participation in NJ office senior staff meetings, collaboration, and contribution to overall office performance.
  • Project Management skills pertaining to project budgets and schedules, and adherence to a project’s scope of work.
  • Participate in professional organizations and technical societies.
