About The Position

Challenge Enterprises of North Florida, Inc. is seeking a dependable, organized, and service-focused Gainesville Project Manager to oversee janitorial services at multiple contract locations in Gainesville and Keystone, Florida. This is a working management position responsible for supervising employees, supporting contract performance, maintaining customer relationships, and ensuring all services are completed in accordance with contract requirements, quality standards, and budget expectations. The Gainesville Project Manager will oversee janitorial operations at Tacachale, the Federal Courthouse, USGS Gainesville, and Keystone locations. This position works closely with employees, customers, and agency leadership to ensure high-quality service, address concerns, maintain staffing and supply needs, and support a safe and productive work environment.

Requirements

  • Strong leadership, communication, and customer service skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, employees, and contract locations.
  • Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively with employees, customers, Human Resources, and agency leadership.
  • Ability to address concerns professionally and provide clear direction to employees.
  • Basic knowledge of cleaning products and Safety Data Sheets, or willingness to learn.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Commitment to maintaining quality service, safety, productivity, and budget expectations.
  • Previous knowledge of performance-based cleaning, or willingness to learn.
  • Ability to pass a federal background check.
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean motor vehicle record.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of developmental disabilities.
  • At least one year of experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily performance of assigned janitorial contracts and ensure services are completed in accordance with each statement of work.
  • Supervise, support, and guide employees performing janitorial duties at multiple locations.
  • Conduct routine quality control checks and submit required results to the main office.
  • Maintain positive working relationships with customers and meet with them routinely to discuss performance, resolve concerns, and address service needs.
  • Manage multiple projects efficiently while following established budget limits.
  • Monitor timekeeping and paid time off records daily and make necessary updates or corrections in the payroll system.
  • Address employee performance concerns and complete verbal or written disciplinary action when appropriate.
  • Order approved cleaning supplies and equipment and ensure adequate inventory is available for assigned contracts.
  • Conduct monthly safety training and required safety meetings for assigned employees.
  • Report workplace incidents to Human Resources immediately and complete required documentation.
  • Monitor incoming site email and telephone communication.
  • Attend agency meetings as scheduled.
  • Follow all Challenge Enterprises policies, procedures, and safety expectations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
