About The Position

The Project Manager – Design, Web Production & Experimentation will own the operational engine behind Rate's growth and CRO program. This role reports directly to the SVP of Growth Experience & Optimization (GXO) and is responsible for managing the design, web production and testing roadmaps end to end, ensuring the team's experimentation and site initiatives are properly scoped, resourced and delivered on time. This is a delivery and coordination role: the individual will act as the connective tissue between design, web production, engineering and the experimentation function, translating priorities into structured project plans, tracking execution against deadlines and keeping cross-functional partners aligned. It is not a strategy-owning or people-management role — it is built for someone who thrives on organization, follow-through and getting things shipped.

Requirements

3–5 years of experience in project management, production management or program coordination, ideally supporting design, web or digital marketing teams
Proven ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and competing deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Comfortable working directly with designers, developers and marketers, translating between creative and technical needs
Strong organizational skills and fluency with project management tools such as Jira, Asana, Workfront or similar
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to keep stakeholders aligned without heavy oversight
A bias toward action, ownership and getting things done — you close loops rather than leaving them open

Nice To Haves

Working familiarity with A/B testing concepts and experimentation platforms (Adobe Target, Optimizely or similar) a plus, not required
Experience in Mortgage, FinTech or another high-volume digital environment preferred but not required
Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Communications or related field preferred
Familiarity with Agile or similar project management methodologies
Working knowledge of basic web/CMS concepts (ContentStack or similar headless CMS) a plus
Experience leveraging AI-powered tools to accelerate documentation, scheduling and status reporting a plus

Responsibilities

Own and maintain the combined design, web production and A/B testing roadmap, keeping priorities sequenced and visible to stakeholders
Translate growth and experimentation priorities into clear project plans, timelines and resourcing needs for design and web production
Track every project from intake through launch, flagging risks and bottlenecks before they affect delivery
Manage the intake and prioritization process for new design and development requests
Maintain a project management system (Jira, Asana or similar) as the single source of truth for status, owners and deadlines
Partner with designers to scope creative requests, gather requirements and manage revisions through to final delivery
Coordinate with web production and development resources to schedule build work, QA and launches
Ensure design and build work stays aligned with brand guidelines, UX standards and technical constraints
Manage the CMS content calendar and coordinate page updates and launches with the web production team
Manage the test build and QA process for A/B and multivariate experiments, coordinating between design, development and the experimentation platform (Adobe Target or similar)
Ensure experiments are built, QA'd and launched accurately and on schedule
Track test status, timelines and dependencies across the active testing backlog
Coordinate with analytics partners to ensure test results and documentation are captured and archived
Run regular status meetings with design, web production and experimentation stakeholders, surfacing blockers and next steps
Maintain clear, proactive communication with the SVP of GXO on roadmap status, risks and delivery timelines
Continuously refine intake, prioritization and QA processes to improve delivery speed and reduce rework
Document workflows and maintain institutional knowledge so process doesn't live in any one person's head
